Louisville Cardinals Face Off Against Oregon State in College World Series

The Louisville Cardinals are set to face off against the Oregon State Beavers in a must-win second-round College World Series game today, June 17, at 2 p.m. ET in Omaha, Nebraska’s Charles Schwab Field. The winner of this game will advance to play Coastal Carolina in the College World Series semifinals on Wednesday.

Before the big match, most of the Louisville team visited a local children’s hospital for a completely voluntary opportunity that showcased their kindness and compassion. U of L coach Dan McDonnell praised the experience, saying it was “authentic” and allowed players to take ownership of the outing without any pressure from coaches.

The Cardinals are looking to gain more fans with their selfless visit and will need support when they face Oregon State. The game is being streamed on ESPN+, and fans can watch online by tuning into Watch ESPN.

As for the starting lineup, Louisville’s RHP Brennyn Cutts is set to get the start against the Beavers. With a 4.89 ERA and 39 strikeouts over 35 innings in 25 appearances with one start, Cutts will look to lead his team to victory.
