The trailer for the upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere has given fans their first look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the lead role. The film, directed by Scott Cooper and based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book, takes a unique approach to biopics by starting in the middle of Springsteen’s career.
White, who won two Golden Globes and three Emmys for his lead performance in The Bear, has been training vocally and musically for the role. He recently expressed his excitement about working with Springsteen, calling him “a terrific actor” who sings “very well.” Springsteen himself praised White’s performance, saying he’s done a great job and that fans will recognize his interpretation of Springsteen.
The film also stars Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau and Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father. Delivered in October, Deliver Me from Nowhere promises to be an emotional and authentic portrayal of Springsteen’s life and music.
