Samsung is considering introducing premium subscription plans for its health platform, Samsung Health. The new models would offer more insights into users’ health and performance, but advanced features like Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load will be limited to newer devices.
The One UI 8 Watch update brings four new health features: Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and two additional features requiring the Galaxy Watch 7 or newer. However, the older models can still use basic tracking features for free.
Samsung is exploring premium subscription plans similar to Fitbit Premium and Garmin Connect Plus, which require a monthly fee. Advanced features might be released with new or more expensive devices and could become available on older devices under a paid plan.
The exact cost and launch date of these plans are unknown. However, the company will make these advanced health insights and coaching features available as early previews for stable releases, requiring newer-generation BioActive Sensors.
