YouTube Music Rolls Out Lyric Sharing Feature

YouTube Music has started rolling out its new lyric sharing feature, allowing users to share their favorite lines from songs with friends. The feature is available on both free and paid accounts, running the latest version of the app (version 8.24).

To use the feature, select a few lines of lyrics from the song playing, tap the “Share” button, and customize your card’s background color. The finalized graphic will show the song title, artist, album artwork, selected lyrics, and a YouTube Music logo.

However, it’s essential to note that manually adding audio to lyrics shared on social media platforms is required. Users will still need to select an audio track for their stories or posts.

This update follows initial testing in April 2025 and becomes the latest addition to YouTube Music’s features.
