Nothing’s first over-ear headphones, called the Headphone (1), are set to launch on July 1st 2025. Leaked images show a unique two-part design that might raise some eyebrows – even the Cybermen might think it’s too much. The renders appear official and were shared by Android Authority.
The design looks like someone sanded off corners of a cassette tape and glued it to a Walkman, with silver and black color schemes shown in the leaks. Nothing seems to have taken a risk with this design, embracing an iconic look inspired by Doctor Who’s Cybermen.
While there’s no official pricing yet, rumors suggest the US price tag will be around $309, €299 in Europe, and £299 in the UK – making them cheaper than AirPods Max but more expensive than Sony WH-1000XM6. If quality matches the hype, these headphones might just become popular enough to overcome their unusual looks.
