Nothing is taking a step back to its roots with the launch of its first over-the-ear headphones, aptly named Headphone (1). Set to debut alongside its Phone (3), the Headphone (1) will feature the brand’s signature transparent design elements on the outside of the ear cups and Nothing branding. Available in black and white colors, these wireless headphones boast a unique two-part earcup design with a metal base and plastic top half resembling a cassette tape.
Three buttons are also prominently featured: two on the side and one on the outside of the ear cup. Interestingly, one image shows the headphones connected via a 3.5mm audio jack, indicating that wired connections will be an option. The close-up shots reveal no folding hinges in the headband, and the device was co-developed with British audio brand KEF.
Rumored to cost $309/€299/£299, these headphones are expected to deliver great sound quality, similar to top brands like Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose. As with any new product launch, expect a sale in 2024 with potential discounts.
