iPhone 17 Base Model Rumored to Come in New Purple and Green Colors

Apple is testing new color options for its base model iPhone 17, with only one of the two new colors expected to make the final cut. According to a recent leak from tech blogger Majin Bu, purple is the more likely choice. This would mark the first significant change to the iPhone’s color palette since the introduction of the Ultramarine and Teal options last year.

The base model iPhone 16 is available in five colors: Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White, and Black. The new colors are expected to be more vibrant and unique than the current offerings.

Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 base model will feature a 120Hz display, a 24-megapixel front camera, and a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen compared to its predecessor. Apple is also expected to unveil the entire iPhone 17 series in September.

Additionally, analyst Jeff Pu expects the iPhone 17 to be equipped with an A18 chip and 8GB of RAM, mirroring the specifications of the iPhone 16 base model. The device’s design is likely to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor, with a minor upgrade in display size.

While no official release date has been announced, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September.
