Microsoft has released two new preview builds of Windows 11 for its Insider program. The Canary build (27881) brings several new features, while the Release Preview build (26100.4482) offers early access to upcoming updates.
The Canary build adds speech recap in Narrator, allowing users to track what’s been spoken and follow along with live transcription. It also introduces a profanity filter setting for voice typing, which lets users disable the profanity mask.
For the Release Preview build, Microsoft has added features like automatic taskbar icon resizing to fit more apps, improved Windows Share, and Screen Curtain in Narrator for enhanced privacy.
Other notable updates include accessibility improvements, new FAQs section in Settings, and a Touch Input design change. Insiders can also download ISOs for a clean install of the Canary build or a Snipping Tool update with GIF export.
The Release Preview build provides early access to features expected in upcoming June and July optional updates. It also includes changes to app defaults, PC-to-PC migration experience, and Settings homepage on managed PCs.
Additionally, Microsoft has released two smaller builds (22631.5548 and 19045.6033) for Release Preview Insiders and Windows 10 Insiders users, respectively, addressing issues in the previous releases.
