Verge Producer Finds Inspiring Notebooks in Weird Shapes

Andru Marino, audio and video producer at The Verge, recently discovered two unique notebooks – the Triangle and Sidekick – that have inspired him to write more and doodle. Marino bought both notebooks after seeing them advertised on Instagram and his phone’s browser history.

The Triangle Notebook has a sturdy design that allows it to lay flat on its spine, making it perfect for writing on unconventional surfaces like laptops or laps. The notebook also encourages Marino to use his handwriting more, which was a New Year’s resolution he had. However, the notebook could benefit from having more pages and being less expensive.

The Sidekick Notebook has an L-shaped design that angles alongside computer keyboards, making it ideal for artists who want to doodle during meetings. Marino recommends this notebook to artists and anyone who wants to briefly write down notes while working on a tablet.

While both notebooks have failed to change the appearance of Marino’s notes, they have encouraged him to doodle more and write more. The weird shapes of these notebooks have inspired Marino to explore different creative possibilities.
