OhChat, a new start-up, has launched a platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create realistic digital replicas of public figures, likened as a “lovechild between OnlyFans and OpenAI.” The service allows users to interact with avatars of adult content celebrities that claim to remember and desire their subscribers.
Unlike other platforms like OnlyFans, where users pay for access to creators’ content, OhChat’s avatars operate independently. Once activated, they provide “infinite personalized content” for subscribers. CEO Nic Young emphasizes the potential of this technology, stating it can be used in various ways, including in an exciting and beneficial manner.
The platform operates on a tiered subscription model, with prices ranging from $4.99 to $29.99 per month. Creators receive 80% of the revenue generated by their AI avatar, while OhChat takes 20%. Since its launch, OhChat has signed up 20 creators, including Baywatch actress Carmen Electra and ex-British model Katie Price.
The platform uses Meta’s large language model to create digital replicas within hours. These avatars can mimic voice, looks, and mannerisms, offering on-demand intimacy at scale without the creators’ involvement. The platform categorizes these AI avatars based on their intensity and explicitness of interactions with users.
