David Goyer is expressing interest in revisiting the “Blade” franchise, which was initially left out of a potential revival due to his production company failing to establish contact with Marvel. The actor and writer confirmed this while discussing other projects he has upcoming. Goyer previously expressed willingness to adapt the 1998 film into an animated series but did not commit to it.
According to reports, Marvel had offered Goyer’s production company, Phantom Stranger Productions (also known as Phantom Stranger Pictures), an option to develop a “Blade” adaptation. However, the agreement was reportedly rescinded after Goyer and his team failed to make contact with the studio. The reason for this non-disclosure is currently unknown.
Goyer mentioned that he would be open to working on the project again if given another chance, highlighting the potential for an animated or live-action reboot of the beloved franchise.
