Barbra Streisand has expressed her ongoing frustration over not being fairly compensated for her role in the 2004 film Meet The Fockers. The legendary singer and actress, who played Rozalin Focker in the movie, revealed that she’s unlikely to reprise her character in an upcoming installment of the franchise, titled Meet The Parents 4.
Streisand believes she deserves better pay due to a perceived disparity in compensation between herself and other cast members. At the time of filming, women were paid significantly less than men, with Streisand noting that the head of Universal Studios, Ron Meyer, even sent her a bonus check as a gesture of goodwill.
Despite the franchise’s revival, it appears Streisand won’t be returning for Meet The Parents 4. However, she’s focusing on her music career and promoting her new album, The Secret Of Life: Partners, Volume Two, set to release on June 27.
