Cincinnati Reds have reinstated infielder Jeimer Candelario from the injured list but designated him for assignment. The move comes a year after signing Candelario to a three-year deal worth $45 million. In 2024, he hit .234 with 20 home runs and 56 RBIs before struggling with injuries. With Candelario out of commission, the Reds will continue to use Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Noelvi Marte, and Spencer Steer as their primary infielders.
