Fleetwood Falls Short Again as Bradley Wins Travelers Championship

English golfer Tommy Fleetwood finished second at the Travelers Championship, his sixth runner-up finish on tour. Despite being three strokes ahead with four holes to play, he fell victim to a reversal of fortunes and lost by one stroke to local favorite Keegan Bradley. Fleetwood’s wait for his first PGA TOUR title continues, with 42 top-10 finishes in 159 starts.

Fleetwood had a rocky start to the final round, making three bogeys in his first four holes before rallying to take a two-stroke lead. However, he made a critical mistake on the 72nd hole, switching from a 9-iron to a pitching wedge for his approach shot and settling for a bogey. Bradley capitalized on Fleetwood’s error with a birdie putt from six feet away, securing his second Travelers win in three years.

Fleetwood, who has finished top-five in all four major championships, is hopeful that he will finally break through and win his first PGA TOUR title soon. Despite the disappointment of another close finish, he expressed his determination to learn from the experience and move forward.
