SpaceX Delays Transporter-14 Launch Due to Weather Warnings

SpaceX has pushed back its planned launch date for the Transporter-14 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base until Monday, June 23 at the earliest. The 57-minute launch window is set to open at 2:18 p.m. on Monday.

High winds in Santa Barbara County are a major concern, with northwest winds of 20-25 mph and gusts up to 35 mph expected on Sunday. Despite sunny skies and temperatures near 66 degrees, the National Weather Service has warned of unfavorable conditions.

The Transporter-14 mission will deploy a total of 70 payloads, including cubesats, microsats, re-entry capsules, and orbital transfer vehicles. The first-stage booster will land on a droneship eight minutes after launch, marking its 26th flight.

A live webcast of the mission is scheduled to begin at spacex.com/launches and on X @SpaceX about 15 minutes before liftoff. Spectators can view the launch from designated locations in the Lompoc Valley or watch online.
