Actor and musician Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce from wife Prima Apollinaare after nearly 15 years of marriage. The “My Best Friend’s Wedding” star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
Mulroney, 61, married singer-actress Apollinaare in December 2010 and shares two daughters with her. He also has a son from his previous marriage to actress Catherine Keener.
The couple’s divorce comes after a busy year for Apollinaare, who released several singles and an album titled “22”. Mulroney is seeking joint physical and legal custody for their children and spousal support.
Mulroney has been open about his love of music, saying he started playing the cello as a child. He has also written songs that often focus on his personal experiences.
