Little Nightmares fans have had a busy news day, with the release date for the third installment confirmed as October 10th for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and Switch 2. Publisher Bandai Namco has also announced an enhanced edition of the original game, available now for pre-orderers of Little Nightmares 3 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The Enhanced Edition promises improved visuals at 4K resolution and 60fps, along with advanced features like RTX reflections, water effects, and volumetric lighting. Players will also have the option to choose between Quality and Performance modes.
A new VR installment, titled Little Nightmares: Altered Echoes, has been teased but no developer or platforms have been confirmed yet. A 45-second announcement trailer offers a glimpse of the game’s eerie atmosphere.
Additionally, Bandai Namco has revealed details about Reanimal, the studio behind the original Little Nightmares and its sequel, which is working on a new horror-adventure game with co-op features.
