A beloved fast-food chain is reviving its presence in South Jersey, marking a comeback that’s been decades in the making. The new location of Roy Rogers Restaurants in Cherry Hill will host an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by public doors opening at 10:30 a.m.
The drive-through lane will open later at noon, allowing customers to enjoy the restaurant’s signature fried chicken, roast beef, and hamburgers. As part of its grand reopening, the first 50 people in line will receive a reward – one free regular combo meal per week for 12 months via the Roy’s Rewards app.
Roy Rogers Restaurants announced in November that it was reviving its South Jersey location after nearly three decades, citing a growing community and desire to introduce the restaurant to new generations. With this new location, the chain now has 41 locations across five states, including three in New Jersey.
The original Roy Rogers Restaurant chain boasted around 600 locations nationwide, with over 100 in New Jersey alone. Founded in 1967 by a singer and actor named Roy Rogers, the restaurants are known for their high-quality food and nostalgic appeal.
