Caitlin Clark Misses Game with Left Groin Injury

Caitlin Clark will miss the Indiana Fever’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night due to a left groin injury, according to coach Stephanie White. The team found out about the injury late Wednesday night after an MRI. A day-to-day assessment is expected for Clark’s return.

Clark returned from a left quad injury just over a week ago and has averaged 17.8 points in her last five games. However, she has struggled with her three-point shot recently, making only one of her last 23 attempts. The team went 2-3 without Clark between May 28 and June 10.

Clark also missed the first preseason game due to a left leg issue that was not related to her preseason injury. It’s unclear if this groin injury is related to her previous issue. Despite the tight schedule, coach White considers Clark’s possible availability for the next game against the Wings in Dallas on Friday night.
