Del Taco Reopens 17 Colorado Locations After Temporary Closure

Del Taco, the fast food chain, has announced that it is reopening 17 locations in Denver and Colorado Springs after temporarily closing them months ago. The company began a phased reopening on June 26 and confirmed that the previously owned locations by franchisee Newport Ventures will now be owned and operated by Del Taco Corporate.

The decision to reopen comes after the company initially stated that all Colorado locations were closed “until further notice” in February. One location, at 3465 N. Salida Street in Aurora, remains closed. A spokesperson for Del Taco stated that updates on specific reopening dates and locations will be shared as they become available.

Del Taco was founded in 1964 and has nearly 600 locations across 17 states, offering a unique variety of Mexican and American favorites such as burritos and fries. The company expressed gratitude to its guests for their patience and loyalty, thanking them for supporting the brand since 2003.
