Measles cases are on the rise in several states across the US, including North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Bolivia, Canada, and others.
North Carolina has reported its first measles case of the year, involving a child from Forsyth and Guilford counties who recently visited a country with reported outbreaks.
In Oregon, an unvaccinated adult was confirmed to have measles after returning from international travel, while in Utah three cases were reported, all among unvaccinated adults.
Bolivia has declared a national emergency for measles due to 60 recorded cases, mainly in the Santa Cruz area. Canada has also seen a significant rise, with 221 new measles cases and over 3,300 confirmed cases so far this year.
