Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sánchez exchanged their vows on Friday evening at San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice. The three-day wedding celebration began with a party at 14th-century cathedral Madonna dell’Orto on Thursday evening, featuring performances by Matteo Bocelli.
Notable attendees include fellow billionaires Bill Gates, Sam Altman, Barry Diller, Oprah Winfrey, and Kim Kardashian, as well as celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Sydney Sweeney, Tom Brady, Usher, and Gayle King. However, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner will also be present, despite President Donald Trump’s reported absence due to scheduling conflicts.
Security measures are in place, with police officers surrounding the venue on jet skis, amid concerns about local protests. The “No Space for Bezos” protest group has planned a demonstration for Saturday, which may potentially disrupt the wedding reception at Arselane.
The luxurious ceremony took place on a mahogany boat, MOA NYC, rented by Blitz Exclusive Services, and followed by a reception at Venice’s Arsenale armory and shipyard.
