Samsung Rolls Out One UI 8 Watch Beta Update

Samsung has released its highly anticipated One UI 8 Watch beta update for select Galaxy Watches, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The update is now available in South Korea and the USA, marking a significant step forward for the company’s wearable line.

The new update brings several notable features, including an updated user interface, improved Now Bar and Now Brief functionality, and four new health-related features: Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load. While these features will be available on newer models only, they represent a significant enhancement to the Galaxy Watch’s capabilities.

Interestingly, the update will likely start with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra before rolling out to other compatible models, including the Galaxy Watch FE and Galaxy Watch 5 series, in the future. However, it remains unclear whether the older Galaxy Watch 4 series will receive the Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update.

The new health features were recently showcased in the latest stable version of the Samsung Health app for Android devices, hinting at a growing focus on wellness and fitness tracking by the company.
