A 14-year naming rights partnership has been announced between Minnesota Sports & Entertainment (MSE) and Grand Casino Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe for the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The agreement will rename the venue ‘Grand Casino Arena’ beginning September 3, 2025.
The partnership aims to transform downtown Saint Paul into a dynamic entertainment district, with the arena serving as its anchor. Grand Casino and MSE are excited about the collaboration, citing the strong support of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe for the city and their investment in Minnesota’s future.
As part of the agreement, all exterior and interior signage will be replaced to identify ‘Grand Casino Arena’. The change is expected to enhance the fan experience, with plans to engage fans through digital activations and surprise events.
The partnership follows a new multi-year deal between MSE and Xcel Energy on April 15, 2025, ending the team’s 25-year naming rights agreement.
