Nikita Bier, founder and CEO of tbh, has been appointed as the new Head of Product at X, the social media platform founded by Elon Musk.
Bier’s appointment was not a surprise to fans of the app, who had long speculated about his involvement with X after he posted about it on the platform in 2022. In April 2022, Bier tweeted at Musk asking for the product head role and providing advice on how to improve Twitter.
“I’ve officially posted my way to the top,” said Bier in a recent post announcing his appointment, stating that he spends every waking hour on X. Bier has been active on the platform for several years, posting about its growth and sharing insights with Musk, who has since reposted many of Bier’s tweets.
Bier brings extensive experience as a product manager at Meta from 2017 to 2021 and as a co-founder of tbh and Gas social media apps. His appointment highlights X’s commitment to innovation and talent acquisition.
The new Head of Product will work closely with Musk to unlock the value of X for its users, aligning with Bier’s vision that “the platform has the potential to be the leading messenger, groups app & content creation tool.”
