London-based smartphone manufacturer Nothing has launched its first over-the-ear headphones, the Headphone (1). Designed in collaboration with British audio brand KEF, these headphones boast a sleek and transparent design that is characteristic of Nothing’s products.
The Headphone (1) features adaptive noise cancelling and transparent modes, as well as adaptive bass enhancement for an immersive listening experience. The device also offers spatial audio, creating a 3D sound environment that enhances the audio experience.
The headphones are equipped with tactile buttons, which replace sensors to provide a simple interface for triggering AI assistants or adjusting volume. The buttons feature a satisfying click when adjusted.
While comfortable, the headphones were found to be heavy and prone to slipping during wear. However, they provided excellent comfort for extended wear periods.
According to Nothing, the Headphone (1) boasts a long battery life of up to 80 hours of listening time, with quick charge capabilities. The device will be available for preorder in the US, UK, and other regions starting July 4, 2025, priced at $299.
