To take advantage of next week’s Prime Day savings, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership. However, if you’ve never had a Prime membership before, there’s good news: You can sign up for a 30-day free trial and shop the best deals without paying a dime.
Amazon offers four subscription plans, but two come with qualifications. The most important thing to note is that new members are eligible for a 30-day free trial, which you can cancel anytime before it renews.
To get started, go to amazon.com/amazonprime and follow these steps:
1. Tap the rectangular orange box to start your 30-day trial.
2. Sign in with your Amazon account or create one if you don’t have an existing account.
3. Enter your name, email address, and password, then verify your email address with a one-time password.
4. Select your payment method (credit card, debit card, gift card, etc.) and add it to your account.

To cancel Amazon Prime before it renews, follow these steps:
