SpaceX successfully landed its 500th Falcon 9 rocket booster, marking a significant milestone for the company. The reusable first stage booster, B1067, completed its record-breaking 29th trip to space and back after launching into orbit on Wednesday.
The Starlink 10-25 mission lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 2:28 a.m. EDT and flew on a north-easterly trajectory. The launch was part of SpaceX’s ongoing efforts to deploy its Starlink satellite constellation, with this batch carrying 27 mini satellites onboard the rocket.
As of July 2, SpaceX has launched 1,505 Starlink satellites across 61 missions in 2025, accounting for over 75% of the company’s Falcon 9 launches for the year. The droneship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” played a crucial role once again, hosting its 116th touchdown and 472nd booster landing to date.
The reusable rocket technology has enabled SpaceX to significantly reduce the cost of launching satellites into orbit, making it an attractive option for companies looking to deploy their own satellite constellations. With this milestone achieved, SpaceX remains at the forefront of the private space industry.
