Jobs Report Beats Expectations Amid Trump’s Economic Doubters

A new jobs report has dealt a blow to critics of President Donald Trump’s economic policies, as employers added 147,000 jobs in June, exceeding estimates. The strong economy follows months of dire predictions from Democrats that the country was headed for recession.

In March, several Democratic senators warned of a “Trump recession” and claimed Trump intentionally harmed the economy. However, they did not respond to questions about their statements when asked by Fox News Digital.

Other critics, such as Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Sen. Ed Markey, have accused Trump of being irresponsible with his economic policies, including tariffs. Despite these predictions, the latest jobs report shows a growing economy with rising wages and job gains since Trump took office.

The White House is celebrating the news, stating that “jobs numbers have beat market expectations for the FOURTH month in a row” and that the economy will only continue to grow when the proposed “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” is passed.
