Samsung’s next major event, Galaxy Unpacked 2025, is set to take place on July 9 at 10AM ET. The company has hinted that this year’s event will introduce new foldables, including a possible Galaxy Z Fold Ultra. Engadget will be liveblogging the event and will provide coverage here.
The typical annual cadence suggests that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Recent leaks point to AI features being a key part of these devices, following their positive reception in previous models. Renders from Android Headlines show the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with a slimmer profile and larger screens.
A new Galaxy Z Fold Ultra has also been teased by Samsung, promising “industry-leading hardware” and seamless AI integration. However, it’s unclear if this will be a tri-fold design or not.
On the wearables front, the main event is the Galaxy Watch 8. While there’s no significant anticipation for substantial upgrades, improved battery life would be welcome news.
The Galaxy S25 FE has also been rumored to make an appearance, although its specs are still speculative at this point. If Samsung announces a new version of the S25 FE in the fall, it could potentially open pre-orders at the summer Unpacked event.
