ECU’s Ethan Norby Named to 2025 Collegiate National Team Roster

East Carolina rising junior Ethan Norby has been named to the 2025 Collegiate National Team (CNT) roster by USA Baseball. This marks the seventh player from the program’s history to be selected for the final CNT roster, following in the footsteps of Jake Agnos, Bryant Packard, Alec Burleson, Carson Whisenhunt, Zach Agnos, and Trey Yesavage.

Norby, a standout pitcher from Kernersville, N.C., enjoyed an impressive 2025 campaign, compiling an 8-5 record with a 3.80 earned run average and 119 strikeouts against only 22 walks in 90 innings of work. He currently ranks second in the American Athletic Conference and 10th nationally in strikeouts.

Norby’s defining moment came on March 7th when he struck out 19 Coastal Carolina batters, helping East Carolina secure a 7-0 victory. He also earned Third-Team All-America honors from Perfect Game and was selected to the NCAA Conway Regional All-Tournament Team.

The CNT, led by manager Andy Stankiewicz, will face Japan in the 45th USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Championship Series, which begins on July 8 at Es Con Field in Hokkaido, Japan. The team will compete in a series of games against their Japanese counterparts before wrapping up with a lone game in Tokyo.
