Red Bull boss Christian Horner has stated that four-time World Champion Max Verstappen “would like to finish his career in a Red Bull car”. The comments come amid speculation about Verstappen’s future with Mercedes, which Horner says is driven by the Dutchman’s own desires.

Horner dismissed suggestions that Red Bull has a plan B if Verstappen were to leave, jokingly mentioning Oscar Piastri as an alternative driver. He also downplayed concerns about the potential impact of Russell on the team, stating that they have strength and depth within their ranks and are focused on improving for 2026.
