Actor Julian McMahon Dies After Private Cancer Battle

Actor and TV personality Julian McMahon, known for his starring roles in Nip/Tuck, Charmed, and the Fantastic Four movies, has died at 56 after a private battle with cancer. McMahon’s wife, Kelly McMahon, announced his passing on July 2, stating that he had passed peacefully and was surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1968, McMahon began his career as a model before transitioning to acting. He gained recognition for his roles in Australian soap operas “The Power” and “Home and Away,” before moving to Hollywood and landing series lead roles in shows like Nip/Tuck and Charmed.

McMahon’s film credits include the Fantastic Four movies, as well as Premonition and RED. His most recent role was on Netflix’s The Residence, playing an Australian Prime Minister.

His co-stars and colleagues remembered him fondly, with Alyssa Milano praising his talent and presence on set. “Julian was more than my TV husband,” she said. “He was a dear friend.” Dick Wolf of the FBI franchise also expressed his condolences, stating that McMahon’s passing was a shock to everyone involved.

McMahon is survived by his wife and daughter, Madison “Maddy” McMahon. The family has asked for support during this difficult time as they grieve in private.
