Play The Last of Us Part 2 Chronologically with New Update

Naughty Dog has released a free update for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, allowing players to experience Ellie and Abby’s stories in chronological order.

The update, now available on PS5 and PC, lets fans replay the game again with a new twist. According to Naughty Dog, this structure was intentionally chosen to unfold the story non-linearly, showcasing Ellie and Abby’s motivations and emotional stakes through various flashbacks and present-day storylines.

By playing chronologically, players can gain a deeper understanding of the game’s narrative. The update includes changes to the base game, as well as new trophies for completing the game in chronological order. Additionally, two new skins have been added to No Return mode, allowing players to dress up as Nathan Drake or Sam Drake from Uncharted.

Naughty Dog expressed gratitude for the love and support shown by fans over the past few months. The update marks a celebration of this moment with the community, following recent developments in the TV series adaptation, including Neil Druckmann’s departure and Halley Gross stepping back from her role as co-writer and showrunner.
