Google Updates Gemini Branding with New Color Scheme

Google has updated its Gemini branding on Android devices, introducing a new color scheme for the system-wide overlay and other visual elements. The changes include a red, yellow, green, and blue gradient for the overlay, replacing the previous blue-purple hue. A light blue ring around the voice input microphone is also now part of the design.

However, not all updates are available as of today’s review period. The new Gemini overlay colors are limited to certain devices, and it remains unclear when they will roll out more widely. Additionally, some features, such as the blue greeting in the Google app beta, are still unavailable.

This update comes after Google has already introduced a new Gemini icon on Android and iOS homescreens last week. Other changes, including a revamped logo and model picker tweaks, have also been rolled out for some users.

The new branding aims to strengthen Google’s connection with its advertising partners, who often use the four-color scheme in promotional materials. The design change is part of ongoing efforts to refine the Gemini brand.
