Canton City Public Health has confirmed another mosquito with West Nile virus, marking the third instance this year. The previous instances were reported in May and June at specific locations. A mosquito near Market Avenue N. and Eastwood Street N. tested positive for the disease.
Residents are advised to take precautions against mosquito bites by following these steps:
– Limit time outdoors during peak hours
– Use approved insect repellents
– Wear long pants and shirts
– Remove stagnant water sources around homes
Additionally, the Ohio Department Health reported 27 mosquitoes with West Nile virus across the state, but no human cases have been confirmed so far this year.
