FIFA has lowered ticket prices for the highly anticipated Club World Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea. The cheapest standard admission ticket, previously priced at $312.20, is now available for $249.75, with some seats in the back sections reduced from $440 to $334.50.
However, premium club seats remain unchanged at $1,644.65 and $4,348.50. Despite initial criticism over high prices, FIFA has adjusted its pricing strategy based on supply and demand.
The tournament saw a significant decrease in ticket sales during the group stage, with an estimated 1 million tickets unsold. However, some matches still attracted large crowds, including the semifinal between Chelsea and Fluminense, which had an announced crowd of over 70,000.
The final match is expected to see PSG face off against Chelsea at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13. While Real Madrid’s elimination may have impacted ticket sales for the final, the massive attendance at other matches suggests that prices could drop further into the weekend.
