Belkin to End Wemo Support for Most Products in 2026

Belkin has announced that it will stop supporting its Wemo smart home products by January 31, 2026. This means that users will no longer be able to access remote features such as voice assistant integrations and cloud connectivity. The company’s decision affects most Wemo products sold after 2018, but some devices (WLS0503, WSC010, WSP100, and WDC010) will continue to function through HomeKit over Thread.

Customers who own Wemo products still under warranty can receive a partial refund. However, this applies only to a limited number of devices based on Belkin’s list. The shutdown affects features such as remote access and voice assistant integrations, and the Wemo app will also shut down on January 31, 2026.

Belkin cited “careful consideration” in its decision to end technical support for older products, but users are still advised to explore alternative options for their smart home devices.
