A new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals Apple’s release plans for the first half of 2026. The report confirms much of what was previously expected, but includes a surprise twist: the M5 MacBook Pro, originally slated for this fall, is now likely to be delayed until early next year.
Despite the initial delay, the new iPhone 17 lineup, including a thin iPhone 17 Air, Apple Watches, and iPad Pro models, is still set to launch in the fall. New 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models may also arrive earlier than expected, with Gurman noting that “the timing remains fluid.”
Later this spring, Apple will release an iPhone 17e, similar in scope to last year’s iPhone 16e, along with a new entry-level iPad and iPad Air. The iPads and MacBooks are considered “chip and ship” models, meaning they’ll feature upgraded processors but no major new features.
In addition to the delayed M5 MacBook Pro, Apple is also expected to launch its first external Mac monitor since the Studio Display in 2022. The new display will remain at a 27-inch size and address some of the current model’s missing features, such as ProMotion and HDR.
The company’s affordable smart home hub product, dubbed the “HomePad,” was initially set for spring release but is now expected to launch in the first half of 2026. This delay is due to its reliance on new Siri features that have fallen behind schedule.
