A new list ranking the 25 best places to live in the Boston area has named Brookline as the top metro-area town, according to Stacker’s rankings. The top five towns are all ranked with an A+ grade for factors such as cost of living, education, housing, and diversity.
Brookline takes the top spot after being named the number one place to live in Greater Boston by Boston Magazine earlier this year. Cambridge, Lexington, Belmont, and Newton also made the list, ranking high due to their excellent schools, affordable housing, and diverse communities.
Stacker’s rankings are based on data from Niche, which uses 15 weighted factors to evaluate each community. The top-ranked towns offer a great quality of life, with Brookline being at the forefront.
