Samsung has clarified that it has “no plans” to charge for certain Galaxy AI features, including those brought to life in One UI 8 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, and features being incorporated into the Galaxy Watch 8 series. The company asserts that these features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices.
This announcement comes after rumors suggested that Samsung might introduce paid subscription models for its AI features in the future. However, Samsung has consistently stated that it would keep its Galaxy AI service free through 2025, as initially promised.
While some features may be subject to change in the future, Samsung’s stance on “default” features being free from charges is clear. The company remains committed to providing its users with a suite of productivity features powered by its AI models without any additional costs.
