Apple is gearing up for its final releases of 2024, with iOS 18.2 and related operating system updates expected to roll out soon. The updates will bring several new features, including improved Apple Intelligence capabilities, as well as bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Among the expected releases are updates to macOS Sequoia, which will also introduce new features and improvements. In addition, Apple is rumored to be working on a foldable iPhone, set to debut in 2026, and plans to expand its presence in the smart home market with several new products.
Further, Apple has ordered M5 chips from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) ahead of their production schedule for late 2025. This move is expected to bring significant performance gains and efficiency improvements to future Macs.
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently discussed the company’s AI plans and vision for the future in an interview with WIRED, while Apple Music has released its Full Replay 2024 experience, providing users with personalized music listening statistics and trends from the year.
