Nicolas Cage has spoken out about his short-lived romance with Sarah Jessica Parker for the first time. The “Wicker Man” star claimed that he didn’t “pass the Mom test,” which led to their breakup.
Cage recalled a dinner meeting with Parker and her mother at the Russian Tea Room, where he wore a blue Vanson Leather motorcycle jacket. He said that despite feeling drawn to her, they haven’t spoken since then.
Parker confirmed their romance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” last week but hasn’t commented further. The two co-starred in the 1991 film “Honeymoon in Vegas,” which came out a year later.
Cage is married to Riko Shibata, while Parker has been married to Matthew Broderick since 1997 and has three children with him.
