The UFC is in exclusive contract negotiations for a new broadcast deal set to start in 2026. The proposed terms include an annual fee of around $1 billion, which may be split among multiple partners. Speculation surrounds potential partnerships with Netflix or Amazon Prime, given their massive global reach and large subscriber bases.
CEO Dana White hinted at the UFC’s future direction, stating that the new deal will likely involve a more “global” platform than current arrangements. This follows recent collaborations between TKO Group Holdings, the UFC’s parent company, and streaming platforms like Netflix. For instance, they secured a massive $5 billion, 10-year deal for WWE’s Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
However, White refused to name any potential partners, citing ongoing negotiations and lack of concrete information. Despite this, numerous outlets have expressed interest in obtaining the UFC’s broadcast rights. The new deal is expected to be another game-changer, similar to the previous moves that saw the UFC shift from Spike TV to FOX and then to ESPN.
White emphasized the importance of securing a significant broadcast deal, stating, “Every year that we’ve done a deal — if you think about it, Spike TV we started… From there, we went to Fox. From there, we went to ESPN. We’ve leveled up every single time and it made the sport bigger and bigger and bigger.”
