Google’s note-taking app is still far from ideal, but a recent update brings one long-awaited feature closer to reality. A new “Find in note” functionality has been activated through the 3-dot menu button on Android devices, allowing users to search within existing notes. Although the current implementation crashes and only power users may find this useful, it’s a step in the right direction for an app that has been criticized for its barebones features and limited functionality. With recent material design updates, Google Keep is looking more polished, but it still needs significant improvements to catch up with other top note-taking apps on Android.
