Barcelona Star Lamine Yamal Faced Over Dwarves At 18th Birthday Party

Spanish football star Lamine Yamal is facing criticism after a group of dwarves was spotted attending his 18th birthday party. The Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain (ADEE) has condemned the event, calling it a “violation of ethical values”.

The party, held at a private venue in Barcelona, included several celebrities and Yamal’s football team-mates. However, when a group of dwarves was filmed entering the party, it sparked controversy.

Jesus Martin Blanco, director general for the rights of persons with disabilities in Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights, has called for an investigation into the incident. He expressed concern that the event could have a negative impact on young people and that those with power should not get away with such actions.

In response to the criticism, one of the dwarves at the party spoke out, saying they were “only asking to work” and that their contracts as performers are legitimate. However, the ADEE argues that the general law prohibits shows or recreational activities that use people with disabilities for mockery or ridicule.

Yamal’s representatives have not commented on the incident, but The Athletic has approached Barcelona and the Spanish Prosecutor’s Office for comment.
