Caitlin Clark Withdraws from All-Star Weekend Due to Groin Injury

WNBA Guard Caitlin Clark Pulls Out of All-Star Games Due to Groin Injury

Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever guard, has withdrawn from participating in the 3-Point Contest and All-Star Game due to a groin injury. The injury occurred during Tuesday’s win over the Connecticut Sun in the final minute of the game.

Clark was the leading vote-getter from fans and captain of one of the All-Star teams. However, she announced that she had to rest her body after imaging tests revealed issues with her right groin. Fever coach Stephanie White stated that Clark’s injury was considered good news, but did not provide further details.

This is Clark’s fourth muscle injury this year, following a quad strain and another left groin injury. She has struggled with durability throughout her WNBA career, missing games due to various injuries.

Washington’s Brittney Sykes will replace Clark in the All-Star Game. The WNBA has yet to announce a replacement for Clark in the 3-Point Contest.
