US Shifts Patriot Defense Queue Amid Ukraine Need

Washington has adjusted its delivery schedule for Patriot air defense systems to support Ukraine, with Switzerland now facing a longer wait due to increased demand from European nations.

The US Department of Defense has informed Switzerland that it will receive the production batches later than planned, as it prioritizes delivering ground-based air defense systems to Ukraine. This move affects countries like Germany and other suppliers sending air defense weapons to Ukraine.

Kyiv continues to call for additional air defense resources amid ongoing clashes with Russia. Ukrainian officials see support from air defense systems crucial to securing a victory in the war.

The US has announced plans to sell military equipment, including Patriot batteries and PAC-3 interceptors, to European nations that will be used by Ukraine. This shift comes after months of criticism for providing aid to Ukraine.
