10th Measles Case Confirmed in Utah State Total

A measles case has been diagnosed in Utah, bringing the year’s total to 10. The latest case involves an unvaccinated person who self-isolated after becoming sick and is now past the infectious period. This is not the first time a measles virus detection was found in wastewater in Provo, indicating at least one local resident contracted the infection. The Utah Department of Health and Human Services urges people to stay away from others if symptoms appear, such as a high fever, cough, runny nose, or red eyes, followed by a rash after four days.
