Samsung has pushed the boundaries of mobile foldable innovation with its latest devices, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. The two new smartphones aim to deliver large screens in a pocket-friendly device, achieving what was initially set out by Samsung back in 2019.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable device yet, measuring just 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded, reducing its thickness by an impressive 48%. The new design boasts a wider, brighter screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, making it both portable and intuitive to use.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 introduces the third-generation Armor FlexHinge, which is 27% thinner and 43% lighter than its predecessor. This upgrade has also enabled Samsung to boost the battery’s energy density by 300mAh while reducing its thickness.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy Z Fold7 delivers an ultra-level experience with flagship technology in a sleek design. The device features a redesigned camera module that provides high-performance autofocus and flagship image quality.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 also boasts a new flex hinge that is 29% slimmer than its predecessor while maintaining full FlexMode functionality. The device’s camera has been reengineered to deliver high-quality images with less bulk, thanks to the streamlined internal structure of the module.
To further enhance durability, Samsung has reinforced the devices’ thin profiles with stronger materials. The cover screen features Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 21, making it 30% stronger in material strength than the previous generation. The frame and hinge cover have been upgraded to Advanced Armor Aluminum, a material that is 10% tougher than the Armor Aluminum used in Galaxy Z Fold6.
With its revolutionary design, Samsung has set a new standard for mobile foldable innovation.
